Electrical Engineering Student Shines in “Design the Future” Automotive Design Competition
Dec 2020

Electrical engineering student Vesta Koo won the Best Function Award in the “Design the Future” Automotive Design Competition with her design “PlusO”.

Organised by International Motor Show (HK) Management Limited, this competition invited all students in tertiary institutions to create a future vehicle for Hong Kong in 2050. By utilising emerging technologies, the vehicles should be able to enhance the driving experience of the future by providing convenience and accommodating the daily transportation needs of members of a future society. Students were required to innovate in their designs to achieve practical functionality.

Featuring a self-driving function, a smart cabin, highly flexible modular construction and zero emission, the clean-energy vehicle “PlusO” designed by Vesta impressed the judging panel with its functionality and the creativity of its design.
