IVE Engineering competitors demonstrated their excellence by winning Medallions for Excellence in numbers of Engineering field at the 45th Worldskills Competition. The WorldSkills Competition is hailed as the ‘Skills Olympics’. The competition in 2019 was held in Kazan, Russia and competed in 56 skills across a wide range of industries. It attracted more than 1,300 talented young people from 63 countries and regions. This year, the Hong Kong Team won Medallions for Excellence in 11 trades, the highest-ever number, including Electrical Installations, Mechatronics, Mobile Robotics, and Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. In Mechatronics trade, AU YEUNG Ka Ming and YEUNG Ka Ho, Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering graduates ranked 7th out of 34 teams.
