To express the gratitude of the IVE Engineering towards industry partners for their continuous support of the Student Industrial Attachment Programme, and to recognise the outstanding performance of the 108 students who achieved satisfactory performance during their attachment period, the IVE Engineering organised the Outstanding Industrial Award Presentation Ceremony and Industry Sponsors’ Appreciation Reception on 24 May 2017 at the Royal Plaza Hotel. More than 300 guests from supporting organisations and industry, along with awardees and secondary school representatives, were present at the ceremony.
The Deputy Council Chairman of VTC, Ir Conrad Wong, and Deputy Executive Director of VTC, Professor Ronald CHUNG, presented the awards to the awardees. The awardees’ representatives expressed their gratitude for being given practical learning opportunities—noting that the attachments not only enriched their professional knowledge but also allowed them to practice their skills in the workplace. Industry supervisors gladly shared his experiences with the programme and his appreciation of the opportunity to nurture young talent for the industry. Industry partners, students’ supervisors and the awardees enjoyed the Reception and had a memorable afternoon together.
