The Aviation Industry Forum – Developing Human Capital for Hong Kong and Regional Aviation Industries was successfully held on 9 October 2015 at the Civil Aviation Department Headquarters. Jointly organized by the Civil Aviation Department of HKSAR Government, RMIT University of Australia and VTC, the expertise from Australia and Hong Kong were invited to present the latest trends, developments and challenges in the industry that require new capabilities and competencies.
The Forum was pleased to have Yau Shing-mu, the Under Secretary for Transport and Housing, Paul Tighe, the Australian Consul General of Hong Kong & Macau, Norman Lo, the Director General of Civil Aviation, Prof. Peter Coloe, the Pro-vice Chancellor of RMIT University and Dr. Clement Chen, the Chairman of VTC as the officiating guests. Discussion covered a wide range of topics, including new challenges in aviation, technology challenges for aircraft systems and skill demands for the aviation industry. The inspiring sharing made by the speakers led to immense discussion and received positive comments from more than 200 participants.
