VTC has been actively supporting the Vocational Professionals Admission Scheme (VPAS) introduced by the Government last year to address the manpower shortage in skilled trades, and nurture professionals for Hong Kong and the nation. With different infrastructure projects underway, there is a growing demand for talent in the engineering sector. Against this backdrop, VTC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 8 member companies of The Hong Kong Electrical & Mechanical Contractors' Association recently to nurture engineering talents. Under the MoU, the companies will provide scholarships and internship opportunities for non-local students pursuing designated Engineering Higher Diploma programmes at IVE under VPAS.   VTC will continue to work closely with the industry to strengthen collaboration in talent development, actively contributing to industrial digitalisation and economic progress while building a stronger pool of professional talents.
