VTC and Neolix Hong Kong Aim to Bring Autonomous RoboVans to the City's Roads and to Nurture Talent

The Engineering Discipline of the Vocational Training Council (IVE Engineering) today announced a strategic partnership with Neolix Hong Kong, to pave the way for Hong Kong's first autonomous RoboVan trials and to nurture the next generation of engineering talent. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was officially signed between the two parties on 10th July 2026.

As a leading international metropolis, Hong Kong is actively accelerating its transformation into a world-class smart city, with autonomous driving technology serving as a cornerstone of this vision.

Neolix Hong Kong is a part of Neolix, a industry leader in L4 autonomous logistics. Through this strategic partnership, both parties will leverage their respective strengths to focus on three key strategic pillars:

  • Joint Project Development: Implementing pilot trials of autonomous vehicles on public roads or within VTC campuses leveraging Neolix’s advanced autonomous driving technologies and solutions.
  • Permit Acquisition & Compliance: Jointly applying for autonomous vehicle testing permits for the pilot trials in Hong Kong .
  • Co-development of Professional Curriculum: Designing and enhancing specialised training programs in autonomous driving applications for both IVE Engineering students and industry practitioners.

This partnership represents a powerful synergy, bringing together IVE Engineering’s vocational and professional education with Neolix’s industry-leading L4 autonomous driving technology.

This landmark MoU is more than just the start of a collaboration—it is a vital milestone in nurturing the next generation of engineering talent and driving innovation and strengthening Hong Kong’s innovation and technology ecosystem.
