On 24 November 2025, the Engineering Discipline of the VTC and DragonRise New Energy Holding Limited jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote new energy transportation in Hong Kong. 

The agreement aims to develop Hong Kong’s new energy transportation industry, cultivate more skilled professionals in electric vehicle maintenance and repair, and provide retraining opportunities for existing mechanics, thereby supporting Hong Kong’s transition to electric public transportation and its green transformation. 

Under the collaboration, both parties expect to achieve the following prospects.  

• Jointly design tailored training programmes to meet the needs of the electric vehicle (EV) market 

• Develop professional training for the new‑energy transportation sector 

• Jointly advance professional talent‑exchange programmes 

• Launch training and research projects
