VTC Engineering Discipline Signs Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with EMULE (Hong Kong) Limited to Forge Strategic Partnership for the Future of New Energy Transport
May 2026

The Engineering Discipline of the Vocational Training Council (VTC) signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with EMULE (Hong Kong) Limited on April 22, 2026, formally establishing a partnership to support the development of professional talent and industry advancement in the new energy transportation sector.

Under the collaboration, both parties will focus on three key areas: the establishment of technical standards and professional certification frameworks related to new energy transportation; the joint development of industryaligned curricula and teaching materials; and the continuous enhancement of programme content to better meet industry needs, including the provision of internship and employment opportunities for students of the Institute of Vocational Education (IVE).

In response to global climate change and carbon neutrality objectives, VTC has been actively promoting the development of green and new energy technology talent, with particular emphasis on electric vehicles and green transportation. The Engineering Discipline has established the first electric vehicle maintenance training centre in Hong Kong at its Tsing Yi campus, aiming to nurture skilled technicians equipped with professional qualifications and practical competencies to support the safe and sustainable development of the industry.

Looking ahead, VTC will continue to play its dual role as a “super connector” and a “super valueadder,” leveraging the advantages of “One Country, Two Systems.” On the one hand, it will support mainland new energy vehicle enterprises in expanding overseas, and on the other, introduce advanced international technologies and experience, contributing to the sustainable development of Hong Kong and the GuangdongHong KongMacao Greater Bay Area.
