The Engineering Discipline of the Vocational Training Council (IVE Engineering) has entered into a strategic partnership with Novautek Autonomous Driving Limited. Through this industry-academia collaboration, the initiative aims to empower the younger generation with cutting-edge technologies and nurture high-caliber talent to drive the development of AI robotics in Hong Kong. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was officially signed between the two parties on 30 July 2026.

Under the framework of the MoU, both organisations will focus on the core theme of "AI + Robotics + Education," collaborating extensively across four strategic areas:

1. Joint Curriculum Development: Designing courses and modules on AI, robotics, and their practical applications to benefit VTC students and staffs.
2. Collaborative Research and Development: Conducting joint development projects focused on AI and robotics technology applications, alongside related fields.
3. Student Support and Experiential Learning: Enhancing engineering practical skillset through Industrial Attachment and Final Year Project Scheme
4. Professional Capacity Building: Co-developing professional expertise and capabilities in AI, robotics, and their real-world implementations.

IVE Engineering brings a robust and well-established vocational and professional education system, while Novautek provides pioneering AI robotics technology and deep application expertise. This MoU represents a powerful synergy of mutual strengths and complementary advantages. It serves not only as the launchpad for a profound collaboration but also as a significant milestone in grooming the next generation of engineering talent and accelerating Hong Kong’s innovation and technology landscape, injecting continuous momentum into the industrialisation of AI across the region.
