Two outstanding student teams from IVE Engineering have achieved remarkable success at the Young Professionals Exhibition & Competition (YPEC) 2025, organised by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Hong Kong and co-organised by the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD). The teams clinched the Champion, 1st Runner-up, and Best Innovation Award in the Sub-Degree (Associate Degree) category.

Project: ScentSafe “ScentSafe” is an innovative AI-powered aromatherapy system designed to combat driver fatigue. Using real-time facial recognition and biometric monitoring, it detects signs of drowsiness and releases targeted scents to boost alertness, helping to prevent road accidents caused by tired driving.
