Electrical (Power) Engineering Forum: Innovation and Technology in Energy and Power Engineering for Smarter and Greener Living
Nov 2020

Jointly organised by the CLP Power Academy, the RMIT University of Australia and IVE Engineering, the Electrical (Power) Engineering Forum was held on 6 November 2020 in a hybrid mode. Local speakers and IVE Engineering students attended the Forum in person at IVE (Haking Wong), while overseas speakers and other participants joined the Forum through the Internet.

Underpinning the theme “Innovation and Technology in Energy and Power Engineering for Smarter and Greener Living”, the Forum provided an interactive platform for technocrats, engineers and academicians to share their experiences, research breakthroughs and vision-trends.

The convenors of the Forum invited local and overseas experts to share their insights on a wide range of topics, including building energy efficiency, the monitoring and control of power systems, power conversion technologies for smart city applications and smart grid technology. Ir Raymond Poon, Deputy Director/Regulatory Services, Electrical and Mechanical Services Department, HKSAR and Mr Gareth Simpson, Australian Trade and Investment Commissioner for Hong Kong and Macau were guest of honour and officiating guest, respectively. The presentations and interactive discussions attracted over 770 participants.
